Is an Agricultural Engineer, with an MBA in Business Management. Former President of John Deere Brazil, for approximately 10 years, he dedicated his entire professional career to Brazilian agribusiness. Son of small farmers from the country are of Rio Grande do Sul state, he built all his education in the public education system, and over the last 40 years, he has developed a successful career in public service and in large ag companies. 

In August 2021, he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), in recognition of his services and great contributions to the Brazilian agribusiness sector and in the same year, he was considered one of the 500 most influential authorities in Latin America, by the publication Bloomberg Línea.

In May 2022, he was given by the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul with the Farroupilha Medal of Merit, for his dedication to agribusiness, the creation of technologies for the mechanization of the field and for his relevant performance in social causes. Currently, he serves as a member of several advisory and administrative boards of public and private companies, among other leadership roles performed in Brazilian agribusiness. 

In the sphere of social responsibility, he works with a rural hospital, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, aiming to transform it into a center of excellence in telemedicine, in order to enable the access of rural communities to the technological advances and medical knowledge available in large Brazilian urban centers
